Buyer's guide Β· Sales

We compared six social selling tools on published pricing, free plans or trials, prospecting and outreach, content and engagement features, LinkedIn policy considerations and the main limitation a buyer should check.

By Kurums EditorialPricing checked 12 October 2026Updated 13 October 2026How we make money
TL;DR
  • Reps who need LinkedIn's own data: LinkedIn Sales Navigator β€” Core starts at US$119.99 per month, with a free trial for eligible members and 50+ advanced search filters.
  • Founders building a LinkedIn audience: Taplio β€” Plans start at $39 per month and every plan begins with a 7-day trial with full Pro access.
  • Budget LinkedIn and email sequences: Waalaxy β€” Pro is €19 per month with 300 invitations and a 14-day free trial.
  • Teams running cloud-based campaigns: Dripify β€” Pro is $59 per user per month billed annually, with a 7-day trial and no credit card required.
  • Companies scaling employee advocacy: Hootsuite Parliament β€” Hootsuite's employee advocacy product, formerly Amplify, ships approved content for staff to share; pricing via demo.

Social selling means using professional networks, mainly LinkedIn, to research buyers, build credibility and start conversations that lead to pipeline. Tools in this category fall into three groups. Prospecting tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator help reps find and track the right people and accounts. Content tools such as Taplio help individuals write, schedule and measure posts that attract buyers. Outreach automation tools such as Waalaxy, Dripify and Expandi send connection requests and message sequences at scale, and employee advocacy platforms such as Hootsuite Parliament let a company distribute approved content through its staff. Buyers include SDR and account executive teams, founders who sell, agencies and marketing teams running advocacy programs.

We compared each tool on published pricing, free plan or trial, prospecting and outreach, content and engagement, LinkedIn policy considerations and its main limitation. Products are listed in practical buyer order: LinkedIn's own product first, then self-serve tools with published prices, then quote-led enterprise advocacy. The order is not a quality ranking. Prices, plans and trial terms were checked on official vendor pricing and product pages on 12 October 2026. Prices are in USD unless stated as EUR, may exclude VAT and can change. Policy notes are informational, not legal advice.

Pricing checked 12 October 2026 on each vendor's official pricing or product pages. Prices are list prices in USD unless stated; "Quote-based" means the vendor does not publish a price. Order follows buyer fit and pricing transparency, not a quality score. Confirm billing basis, minimums and taxes with the vendor before you buy. Methodology is described below.

The 6 options in detail

1

LinkedIn Sales Navigator

Best for first-party LinkedIn prospecting

Best for: Sales reps and teams that want LinkedIn's own search, lead lists, buyer intent and CRM sync without third-party automation.

AttributeLinkedIn Sales Navigator
Published pricingCore from US$119.99 per month or US$1,079.88 per year; Advanced from US$159.99 per month or US$1,799.88 per year; Advanced Plus by quote
Free plan or trialFree trial for eligible members without a paid LinkedIn subscription in the past 365 days; card required
Prospecting and outreach50+ advanced search filters, lead and account lists, InMail; Account IQ, buyer intent and TeamLink on Advanced
Content and engagementSmart Links on Advanced show who engages with shared content; no post scheduling
LinkedIn policy considerationsFirst-party LinkedIn product, so no third-party automation risk
Main limitationDoes not automate outreach, and CRM write-back and lead creation need Advanced Plus
  • Advanced adds AI-powered Account IQ and Lead IQ plus buyer intent signals for target accounts.
  • Advanced Plus connects to Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics and Oracle and can create leads and contacts in the CRM.
  • It is a research and messaging tool, not an automation tool, so outreach volume depends on rep time.

Our take: Sales Navigator is the baseline for LinkedIn social selling because it is LinkedIn's own product. Reps use its advanced filters to build lead and account lists, save them for alerts, and message prospects with InMail. Advanced adds Account IQ and Lead IQ summaries, buyer intent signals, TeamLink warm-introduction paths and Smart Links that show who viewed shared content. Because it is first-party, there is no policy risk in using it as designed. The price is significant for individuals at US$119.99 per month on Core, and LinkedIn notes its listed prices are estimates that may exclude tax. The annual Core price gives the bigger saving. In a trial, build one saved account list and one lead list, then check how useful alerts are over two weeks. Many third-party tools on this page, including Waalaxy and Dripify, pull prospects from Sales Navigator searches, so it often sits underneath the rest of the stack rather than competing with it.

2

Taplio

Best for LinkedIn content and audience

Best for: Founders, consultants and sales leaders who want to write, schedule and measure LinkedIn posts that attract inbound interest.

AttributeTaplio
Published pricingStarter $39, Growth $69, Pro $199 per month; a comparison table on the same page shows $32, $49 and $149, so confirm billing basis
Free plan or trial7-day free trial with full Pro access on all plans; 30-day money-back guarantee
Prospecting and outreachLead database by title, industry and engagement; automated outreach on Pro
Content and engagementAI post writing in your voice, scheduling, analytics and a curated engagement feed
LinkedIn policy considerationsPro's automated connection requests and DMs fall under LinkedIn's automation limits; review before enabling
Main limitationLinkedIn only, and two sets of prices on the pricing page need confirming at checkout
  • Generates posts in your voice with hooks, rewrites and reach prediction, then queues them for your audience's best times.
  • A free Chrome extension adds smart comments and engagement tools inside LinkedIn.
  • It covers LinkedIn only, and the pricing page shows two different price sets for the same tiers.

Our take: Taplio is a content-led social selling tool. It helps you write LinkedIn posts with AI that learns your voice, schedule them, track performance and build a habit of commenting on the right people's posts through a curated feed. For founders and senior sellers, that steady presence often creates more inbound conversations than cold messages. The Pro plan adds a lead database and automated connection requests and DMs, which moves it into outreach automation and brings LinkedIn's rules on automated activity into play, so decide deliberately whether to use that part. Every plan starts with a seven-day trial with full Pro access, and there is a 30-day money-back guarantee. During the trial, draft and schedule a week of posts, measure engagement and see whether the AI drafts need heavy editing. Compared with Sales Navigator, Taplio is about being found rather than finding people; compared with Hootsuite Parliament, it is built for individuals rather than company-wide advocacy.

3

Waalaxy

Best for low-cost LinkedIn and email sequences

Best for: Freelancers, small agencies and SMB sales teams that want simple LinkedIn and email sequences at a low monthly price.

AttributeWaalaxy
Published pricingPro €19, Advanced €49, Business €69 per user per month; quarterly and yearly billing discounted
Free plan or trial14-day free trial on all plans
Prospecting and outreach300 LinkedIn invitations per month on Pro, 800 on Advanced and Business; 99+ ready sequences; email finder
Content and engagementSmart LinkedIn Inbox is a paid add-on; reply-rate and sentiment tracking
LinkedIn policy considerationsAutomates LinkedIn actions from a third-party tool; LinkedIn restricts such software, so weigh account risk
Main limitationMultichannel cold email and 500 email credits only on Business
  • Builds prospect lists from LinkedIn Search, Sales Navigator or Recruiter Lite.
  • Syncs with HubSpot and Pipedrive and connects to Make, Zapier and n8n on Advanced.
  • The LinkedIn inbox is an add-on on every plan, and cold email sequences require the Business tier.

Our take: Waalaxy is the most affordable outreach automation tool on this page. You import prospects from a LinkedIn or Sales Navigator search, pick one of its ready-made sequences and let it send invitations, messages and follow-ups, with email added on the Business plan. Invitation volumes are capped per plan at 300 or 800 per month, which also keeps activity at levels the vendor considers conservative. The interface is simple enough for a solo founder, and team features such as shared lists and dashboards are available. Prices are in euros and the stated quarterly and yearly discounts are not shown as final figures, so check the checkout total. Like every third-party LinkedIn automation tool, Waalaxy operates outside LinkedIn's own products, and LinkedIn's terms restrict software that automates activity on its site. Use the 14-day trial on a secondary campaign first. Compared with Dripify and Expandi, Waalaxy costs less but has lower invitation caps and fewer account-safety controls.

4

Dripify

Best for team drip campaigns

Best for: Sales teams that want cloud-based LinkedIn and email drip campaigns with team management and A/B testing.

AttributeDripify
Published pricingPro $59 and Advanced $79 per user per month billed annually; $79 and $99 monthly; Enterprise quote
Free plan or trial7-day free trial with Advanced features, no credit card, no automatic charge
Prospecting and outreachUnlimited drip campaigns, LinkedIn and email steps, 100 email finder credits per month
Content and engagementAnalytics and a dedicated inbox; step analytics, A/B tests and lead tagging on Advanced
LinkedIn policy considerationsLists built-in LinkedIn protection, but it still automates activity LinkedIn's terms restrict
Main limitationTeam management and A/B testing only from the Advanced tier
  • Includes a HubSpot integration, an open API and an MCP server on Pro.
  • Extra email finder credits are sold in packs from $29 for 1,000.
  • Team management, A/B testing and advanced account protection are reserved for Advanced, raising the per-seat cost.

Our take: Dripify runs LinkedIn outreach campaigns from the cloud, so sequences continue when a rep's laptop is closed. Campaigns combine connection requests, messages, profile visits and email steps, with analytics and a shared inbox for replies. Advanced adds team management, A/B testing, step-level analytics and stronger account protection, which most teams will want. The trial is generous at seven days with Advanced features and no card. Pricing is clear, though the page's meta description mentions a lower starting price than the plan table, so confirm at checkout. As with any third-party automation, LinkedIn's terms restrict software that automates activity, and features labeled as protection reduce but do not remove the risk of account restrictions. In a trial, start with low daily limits on one profile, check reply quality and see whether replies sync to HubSpot correctly. Compared with Waalaxy, Dripify costs more but adds team and testing features; compared with Expandi, it is cheaper at the entry tier.

5

Expandi

Best for safety-focused outreach at scale

Best for: Agencies and sales teams that prioritize per-account safety controls such as dedicated IPs and profile warm-up.

AttributeExpandi
Published pricingBusiness $99 per month monthly or $79 per month paid annually upfront; Agency plan by quote for 10+ seats
Free plan or trial7-day free trial with all features; charged only if you subscribe
Prospecting and outreachCloud-based LinkedIn outreach with limits on connections, messages, InMails and event invites
Content and engagementCampaign analytics; content features are not its focus
LinkedIn policy considerationsDedicated country-based IP and auto warm-up to reduce restriction risk; LinkedIn's terms still apply
Main limitationHigher entry price than Waalaxy, with a single self-serve plan
  • Each account gets a dedicated country-based IP address and an automatic warm-up period.
  • Built-in limit ranges stop campaigns from exceeding set thresholds for connections and messages.
  • There is only one self-serve plan, and white-label or 10+ seat setups require a sales conversation.

Our take: Expandi is a cloud-based LinkedIn outreach tool that emphasizes account safety. Each connected profile runs through a dedicated country-based IP, starts with a warm-up period and is held within limit ranges for connections, messages, InMails and event invites. That design appeals to agencies running outreach for clients and to teams that have had accounts restricted with other tools. The Business plan is $99 per month or $79 per month on annual prepayment, and an Agency plan covers white-label and larger teams by quote. Safety features lower risk, but they do not change the fact that LinkedIn's terms restrict third-party software that automates activity, so treat this as a business decision. In the seven-day trial, connect one profile, review the warm-up schedule and test how replies are handled. Compared with Dripify, Expandi is pricier per seat but more explicit about IP and warm-up controls; compared with Sales Navigator, it is an automation layer, not a data source.

6

Hootsuite Parliament

Best for company-wide employee advocacy

Best for: Marketing and sales leaders who want employees and executives to share approved, on-brand content and measure the reach.

AttributeHootsuite Parliament
Published pricingParliament pricing not published; listed with Hootsuite Enterprise; Hootsuite Standard from $99 per user per month
Free plan or trialHootsuite paid plans offer a 14-day trial; Parliament via demo request
Prospecting and outreachNot a prospecting tool; distributes approved content through employee networks
Content and engagementContent discovery, AI-written captions, leaderboards and per-advocate reach and click tracking
LinkedIn policy considerationsEmployees post to their own profiles themselves, so no automated LinkedIn activity
Main limitationEnterprise pricing and setup are excessive for a single rep or a small team
  • Hootsuite states that Amplify has evolved into Parliament, now part of its Social OS.
  • Integrates with Microsoft Teams and Slack, and offers an MCP for sharing from AI assistants.
  • Pricing is by demo only, and it does not help reps find or message individual prospects.

Our take: Hootsuite Parliament, formerly Hootsuite Amplify, addresses social selling at company level. Marketing or enablement teams curate approved, on-brand posts, and employees and executives share them to their own networks in a few taps, with AI drafting captions. Leaderboards add friendly competition, and admins track participation, reach, engagement, clicks and shares for each advocate. Because employees share manually from their own accounts, it avoids the automation concerns that apply to outreach tools. It suits organizations with dozens or hundreds of customer-facing staff who want consistent presence on LinkedIn and other networks. Parliament pricing is not published; Hootsuite's plans page lists employee advocacy with Enterprise, and the product page routes to a demo. In a demo, ask how content is approved, which networks are supported, how adoption is typically driven and whether sharing data can feed your CRM or analytics. Compared with Taplio, Parliament scales a brand voice across staff rather than building one person's audience.

How to choose social selling tools

Separate research, content and outreach

Social selling tools solve different problems, and most teams need more than one. Research tools help you find and prioritize the right people. Content tools help you build credibility so buyers recognize your name. Outreach tools help you start conversations at volume. Employee advocacy extends reach across the company. Write down which of these is your bottleneck before you shop. A team with strong content but weak targeting needs Sales Navigator more than an automation tool, while a founder with a great network but no time may need a content tool first.

Understand LinkedIn's rules on automation

LinkedIn's User Agreement and its help center page on prohibited software restrict third-party software, scripts and browser extensions that scrape data or automate activity on the site, and LinkedIn can restrict accounts it believes break those rules. Outreach automation tools describe safety limits, warm-up periods and dedicated IPs, but these reduce detection risk rather than make the activity permitted. Decide as a business whether that risk is acceptable for your reps' profiles, and read the current agreement yourself. This is general information, not legal advice.

Check data flow into your CRM

Social activity only helps pipeline reviews if it reaches the CRM. Sales Navigator's deeper CRM features, including lead and contact creation, sit on Advanced Plus. Outreach tools such as Waalaxy and Dripify list HubSpot and Pipedrive connections or APIs. Ask each vendor which fields sync, whether replies are logged as activities, and how duplicates are handled. Without clean sync, reps end up working two lists, and managers cannot see which conversations started on social channels.

Evaluate content quality, not just volume

AI writing features can produce many posts quickly, but buyers notice generic content. During a trial, compare AI drafts with what your best seller would write and measure how much editing is needed. Look for tools that learn your tone, suggest hooks without inventing facts and give you analytics on which topics drive profile views and replies. For advocacy programs, check how easy it is for employees to personalize shared posts, since lightly edited posts usually perform better than identical copies.

Price per active seller, not per account

Social selling tools are usually priced per user or per LinkedIn profile. Count the sellers who will actively use each tool, not everyone who might log in once. Combine costs: a rep might need a Sales Navigator seat plus an outreach or content tool, which can double the monthly spend. Check whether annual billing locks in seats you may not need and whether seats can be reassigned when people leave. For advocacy platforms, ask whether pricing is per advocate, per admin or a flat enterprise fee.

How social selling tool pricing works

LinkedIn Sales Navigator is priced per license, with Core from US$119.99 per month or US$1,079.88 per year and Advanced from US$159.99 per month or US$1,799.88 per year. LinkedIn notes that listed prices are estimates and may exclude VAT or GST. Advanced Plus, which adds deeper CRM integration, is quoted based on team size and integration needs. Free trials are available to eligible members who have not had a paid subscription or trial in the past 365 days.

Third-party outreach and content tools are cheaper per seat and mostly self-serve. Waalaxy runs from €19 to €69 per user per month, Dripify from $59 to $79 per user per month on annual billing, Expandi from $79 to $99 per month depending on billing, and Taplio from $39 to $199 per month as listed. Most offer a 7- to 14-day free trial and discounts for annual or quarterly billing. Higher tiers usually add team features, email steps, A/B testing and API access rather than more LinkedIn volume, because volume is constrained by LinkedIn itself.

Employee advocacy platforms such as Hootsuite Parliament are typically sold as enterprise packages by quote, often tied to a social media management contract. Expect pricing conversations to cover the number of advocates, admin seats and onboarding services.

Buying tip

Before buying an outreach automation tool, read LinkedIn's current User Agreement and decide in writing which reps' profiles may use it and at what daily limits. That decision protects your best sellers' accounts.

Social Selling Tools: frequently asked questions

What is social selling?

Social selling is the practice of using social networks, mainly LinkedIn in B2B, to research prospects, share useful content, engage with buyers' posts and start conversations. The aim is to build familiarity and trust before or alongside direct outreach. Tools support each part, from Sales Navigator for research to content schedulers, outreach automation and employee advocacy platforms that extend a company's reach through its staff.

Is LinkedIn automation allowed?

LinkedIn's User Agreement and its help center guidance on prohibited software restrict third-party software, bots and browser extensions that scrape or automate activity on LinkedIn, and LinkedIn may restrict accounts that use them. Vendors such as Expandi and Dripify describe limits and warm-up features to reduce risk, but those features do not change LinkedIn's terms. Review the current terms and decide your own policy. This is general information, not legal advice.

Is LinkedIn Sales Navigator worth it for small teams?

It depends on how much of your pipeline starts on LinkedIn. Core costs from US$119.99 per month, or US$1,079.88 per year, per license. For reps who prospect daily on LinkedIn, the advanced filters, saved lists and alerts usually save hours each week. For occasional users, a free LinkedIn account plus a content tool may be enough. Use the free trial on a real territory before committing.

What happened to Hootsuite Amplify?

Hootsuite states on its product page that Amplify has evolved into Parliament, its employee advocacy product within the Hootsuite Social OS. Parliament keeps the core idea of giving employees approved content to share, and adds AI-written captions, leaderboards, Microsoft Teams and Slack integrations and an MCP for sharing from AI assistants. Pricing is not published and is available through a demo request.

Which social selling tools offer a free trial?

As of 12 October 2026, Sales Navigator offers a free trial to eligible members, Taplio offers seven days with full Pro access, Waalaxy offers 14 days, Dripify offers seven days without a credit card, Expandi offers seven days with all features, and Hootsuite's paid plans offer 14 days. Hootsuite Parliament itself is offered through a demo rather than a self-serve trial.

Can social selling tools sync with my CRM?

Most can, at different depths. Sales Navigator Advanced Plus integrates with Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics and Oracle and can create leads and contacts. Waalaxy syncs with HubSpot and Pipedrive and connects to Make, Zapier and n8n on Advanced. Dripify lists a HubSpot integration and an open API. Ask each vendor which fields sync and whether replies are logged as CRM activities.
