Where these tools fit next to your lawyer
Most contract problems are not exotic legal questions; they are missed renewal dates, clauses nobody read and approvals that were never given. The checklists walk you through the clauses that usually matter, so the time you spend with a lawyer goes on the points that are genuinely open.
The deadline calculators are the quickest win. Enter the contract end date and notice period and you get the last day you can cancel, which stops an unwanted contract from renewing automatically for another year.
For growing teams, the approval matrix shows who must sign a contract of a given value, and the dispute log keeps a record of every open issue with its owner, date opened and next step, in case a disagreement escalates.
Frequently asked questions
Are these legal tools free?
Yes. All ten tools are free and run in your browser. They are orientation and checklist aids, not legal advice, and they do not replace a qualified lawyer in your jurisdiction.
How do I work out a contract cancellation deadline?
Take the end date and subtract the notice period in the contract. The renewal cancellation calculator does this in calendar days. It does not move the date off a weekend or public holiday, so if the result falls on one, send the notice earlier.
Which business entity should I choose?
The entity selector scores a sole proprietorship, a limited company and a corporation against your answers on the number of owners, plans to sell shares, the need to separate personal assets and expected revenue. Rules differ by country, so treat the result as a shortlist to discuss with an accountant or lawyer.
Is my contract text uploaded anywhere?
No. Anything you type into the checklists or comparison tool stays in your browser and is not sent to a Kurums server.
