There is no free webinar platform in the sense the paid vendors mean — registration, a branded room, hundreds of attendees, a recording — but there is a free stack that does the same job: Luma or Tito for registration (unlimited free events), StreamYard or OBS to produce, YouTube Live or LinkedIn Live to broadcast to an unlimited audience, Restream to do both at once. The platforms that bundle it all give small rooms: Zoho Webinar 20 attendees for 60 minutes, Sessions 30 for 90, Google Meet 100 for 60, Livestorm 30 attendee credits a year. Zoom Webinars starts at $66.67, and Demio, WebinarJam, Crowdcast, Airmeet and BigMarker are trials; Hopin became RingCentral Events. Prices are USD and were checked on 27 October 2026. For meeting tools with longer free calls, see Free Video Conferencing Tools. How we score · All Kurums Free lists

TL;DR — the free event platform that fits

  • A public webinar for any number of people: Luma for registration + StreamYard or OBS + YouTube Live — all free, no attendee cap.
  • A B2B audience on LinkedIn: LinkedIn Live via StreamYard or Restream — free with 150 followers; Restream’s free plan streams to two channels.
  • A small interactive session with registration: Zoho Webinar Free — 20 attendees, 60 minutes, no recording; Standard is about $8.
  • Thirty people, ninety minutes, free: Sessions — 30 participants, 90 minutes a session.
  • Selling tickets to an event: Tito (3% a paid ticket, free for free events) or Humanitix (2.1% + $0.99, profits to charity).

Which webinar & virtual event platforms tools have a free plan in 2026?

Every tool below runs some part of an online event free with no end date. The registration layer is the most generous: Luma, Tito, Humanitix and Eventbrite all host unlimited free events at no cost and earn only on paid tickets. The production and broadcast layer is free with branding: StreamYard’s logo and two hours of local recording a month, Restream’s branding and two destinations, OBS with nothing at all. The all-in-one webinar rooms are the smallest: Zoho 20 attendees, Livestorm 30 attendee credits a year at 30 minutes a session, Sessions 30 participants, Google Meet 100 in a meeting with live streaming a paid Workspace feature.

The trials are listed to say so: Demio 14 days at 20 attendees, Crowdcast 14 days at 10, WebinarJam a $1 trial despite ‘free’ on its hero, Airmeet and BigMarker by request, Zoom Webinars no trial on the page. Hopin sold its events platform to RingCentral in 2023 and has no public free tier; Bevy could not be verified; Meetup requires an organiser subscription. Zoho Webinar’s paid price could not be confirmed on its page and is cited from Capterra.

The table shows the attendee cap, the layer the tool covers and the Free Score; Core job weights registration, broadcast and recording together. Open a row for duration, branding, the paid step and the page we checked.

Why it ranks here. Listed because it is the first thing people search for; the free Zoom is meetings, not webinars.

Which free event platform has no credit-card requirement?

Luma, Tito, Humanitix, Eventbrite, YouTube, OBS, Jitsi and Google Meet take no card for free use; StreamYard, Restream, Zoho, Sessions and Livestorm do not state it. WebinarJam’s ‘free’ trial charges $1. Nothing converts on its own.

The trial-only and paid platforms, named so you stop looking: Zoom Webinars (no free tier), Demio (14 days, 20 attendees), Crowdcast (14 days, 10 attendees), WebinarJam ($1 for 14 days), Airmeet and BigMarker (trial by request), Hopin (sold to RingCentral, no public free tier), Bevy (unverified), Meetup (organiser subscription required).

When does the free plan stop being enough?

You outgrew 20 attendees on Zoho or 30 on Sessions.Zoho Standard is about $8; or switch to the free stack — Luma plus StreamYard plus YouTube — which has no attendee cap at all.
You need the recording.Zoho free has none; StreamYard gives two hours a month locally; OBS records everything free; YouTube keeps the stream as a video.
You need a private, registration-gated room rather than a public stream.Zoho Webinar Free for 20, Sessions for 30, Google Meet for 100 with a Luma page in front; beyond that, Zoom Webinars at $66.67 or Demio at $45.
You want the StreamYard logo gone.Essential at $14.99 annual; or OBS, which has no logo and no fee.

Buying tipTreat ‘webinar platform’ as three jobs and buy none of them: Luma collects the registrations and sends the reminders, StreamYard or OBS makes it look professional, and YouTube or LinkedIn carries any audience. The bundled rooms are worth paying for when you need the attendee list, the polls and the recording inside one product — and not before.

How we score free tiers

30Duration
30Capacity
25Core job
15Friction

Duration (30): free forever scores 30, a 30-day-plus trial 15, a trial of 14 days or less 8, credit-based tiers 12. Capacity (30): whether the limits carry a team of three for twelve months. Core job (25): whether the free tier does the category’s main work — here, registering an audience, broadcasting to them live with a presenter and slides, and recording it, at a size that is useful. Friction (15): no card 15; card but no auto-charge 8; auto-charge 0; self-hosting deducts for setup and maintenance.

Each free tier was checked on the vendor’s pricing page on 27 October 2026; where the vendor page was silent, the Scorecard names the third-party source used. Free tiers change, so this list is re-verified every quarter and a discontinued free plan stays listed for one month with a notice. Order is by Free Score only. Kurums Free sells no placement; sponsorship, affiliate links and vendor requests never change a score, a rank or a label. Vendors can submit corrections to the Kurums editorial team.

How did we verify these free tiers?

We opened each vendor’s pricing page and, for open-source projects, the repository, and recorded attendee caps, durations, branding, recording limits, fees on paid events and the paid step. Zoho Webinar’s paid price could not be confirmed on its page and is cited from Capterra (19 Oct 2026); Livestorm’s free-plan details come from its support article; LinkedIn Live is cited from a September 2025 Riverside guide; Zoom’s row uses its events pricing page; Bevy could not be verified and it is not scored. Hopin’s sale to RingCentral is from tech.eu, August 2023.

Prices are USD except Livestorm and Tito’s cap (EUR); Humanitix’s currency is not stated.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a free webinar platform with no attendee limit?

Not as a single product. YouTube Live and LinkedIn Live broadcast to unlimited viewers free; pair them with Luma for registration and StreamYard or OBS for production and you have a free webinar stack with no cap.

Is Zoom Webinar free?

No. Zoom Webinars starts at $66.67 a month billed annually with no free tier or trial on the pricing page. Free Zoom Meetings allow 40-minute meetings and are a different product.

Which webinar tool is free forever?

Zoho Webinar Free (20 attendees, 60 minutes, no recording), Sessions (30 participants, 90 minutes), Livestorm Free (30 attendee credits a year) and Google Meet (100 participants, 60 minutes, no streaming).

Is StreamYard free?

StreamYard Free allows six on-screen participants and two hours of local recording a month with the StreamYard logo on streams. Essential at $14.99 a month annual removes it.

Is Hopin still available?

Hopin sold its events platform to RingCentral in 2023; RingCentral Events shows no public pricing or free tier.

Is Luma free?

Yes — free forever with unlimited events and unlimited guests. Paid events carry a 5% platform fee; a custom URL needs Plus at $59 a month annual.
