Form builders have the most generous free tiers on Kurums Free, and the gap between them is enormous: Tally and Youform take unlimited submissions, Fillout 1,000 a month, Zoho Forms 500, Microsoft Forms 200 per form, Formbricks 250, Jotform and Cognito 100, Formspree 50, Paperform 30 — and Typeform, the best-known name, ten a month across all forms. The table is ordered by how much of your lead flow each one can carry. Prices are USD and were checked on 23 October 2026. How we score · All Kurums Free lists
TL;DR — the free form builder that fits
- Lead forms with no submission cap: Tally — unlimited forms and submissions, logic, payments and uploads, with a Tally badge.
- Typeform’s style without Typeform’s cap: Youform — unlimited forms and responses within fair use; payments are Pro.
- High volume plus payments, verified numbers: Fillout — 1,000 responses a month, unlimited uploads, logic, payments.
- Privacy-first or self-hosted: Formbricks — 250 responses a month hosted, or AGPL self-host with no cap.
- Forms that land in a database: Airtable Free — 1,000 records per base, 100 automation runs a month.
- Already on Microsoft 365 or Google: Microsoft Forms (200 responses per form on free accounts) or Google Forms.
Which survey & form builders tools have a free plan in 2026?
Every tool below collects submissions at no monthly cost with no end date. The binding limit is nearly always submissions per month, and it ranges from unlimited (Tally, Youform, forms.app) through four figures (Fillout 1,000) and three (Zoho 500, Formbricks 250, Microsoft 200 per form, Jotform and Cognito 100) down to two (Formspree 50, Paperform 30, Typeform 10). The second limit is features: payments are free on Tally, Fillout, Jotform, Cognito and forms.app and paid on Youform and Typeform; file uploads are free almost everywhere except Formspree and Typeform.
Nothing in this category is trial-only, which is unusual. Jotform’s Starter caps come from a third-party guide because the pricing page states none, Google Forms’ free status is implied rather than stated on the pages we could read, and the Typeform figure comes from its help centre, which warns that limits vary by experiment.
The table shows the submission cap, payments and the Free Score. Open a row for logic, uploads, branding and the page we checked.

Why it ranks here. Everything free that Tally offers, with a hard 1,000 a month instead of an unstated fair-use line; for most SMEs that is the more predictable deal.

Why it ranks here. The format that defined the category and a free tier that is effectively a demo: ten responses is a day of a working form. Youform gives the same format unlimited.
Which free form builder has no credit-card requirement?
HubSpot states no card; Paperform says so for its paid trials. Tally, Fillout, Youform, forms.app, Zoho, Microsoft, Formbricks, Airtable, Jotform, Cognito, SurveyMonkey, Formspree, Netlify and Typeform do not state it. Nothing here converts to a paid plan automatically, and nothing in the category is trial-only.
The friction that does exist is branding — a badge or footer on Tally, Fillout, Youform, forms.app, Zoho, Formbricks, Airtable, Jotform, Cognito and HubSpot — and payments, which cost a Pro plan on Youform and Typeform and are free on Tally, Fillout, forms.app, Jotform and Cognito.

How we score free tiers
Duration (30): free forever scores 30, a 30-day-plus trial 15, a trial of 14 days or less 8, credit-based tiers 12. Capacity (30): whether the limits carry a team of three for twelve months. Core job (25): whether the free tier does the category’s main work — here, collecting leads, orders or survey responses through an embeddable form with logic, uploads and payments. Friction (15): no card 15; card but no auto-charge 8; auto-charge 0; self-hosting deducts for setup and maintenance.
Each free tier was checked on the vendor’s pricing page on 23 October 2026; where the vendor page was silent, the Scorecard names the third-party source used. Free tiers change, so this list is re-verified every quarter and a discontinued free plan stays listed for one month with a notice. Order is by Free Score only. Kurums Free sells no placement; sponsorship, affiliate links and vendor requests never change a score, a rank or a label. Vendors can submit corrections to the Kurums editorial team.
How did we verify these free tiers?
We opened each vendor’s pricing or support page and recorded submission and form caps, logic, uploads, payments, branding and the paid step. Jotform’s pricing page states no numbers; its caps come from a third-party guide dated October 2026 and its Bronze price conflicts between sources. Typeform’s limits come from its help centre, which notes they vary by experiment; its pricing page shows the Basic price two ways. Zoho Forms’ Basic price could not be confirmed. Google Forms’ pages state neither free status nor limits and it is not scored as a row. Formspree’s Personal price appears two ways on its page. No tool in this category was excluded as trial-only.
Prices are USD.
