How to play Forecast Call

You review ten deals from a sales pipeline. For each one, decide whether it belongs in this quarter’s commit or should be pushed out. The game then names the evidence that decided it.

A correct call scores 10 XP, a perfect run adds 20, and each wrong call costs a heart.

What makes a deal forecastable

  • A decision-maker you have met. A champion helps, and the person who signs decides.
  • A budget that exists. Approved money is different from interest.
  • A dated plan the buyer follows. Steps the customer completes on time are the most reliable signal.
  • A reason to act now. A contract end date or a deadline on their side creates urgency that a discount cannot.

Happy ears

Sales teams call it happy ears when a rep hears what they hope for. The cure is to ask what the buyer has done, and to ignore what the buyer has said. Paperwork sent, a pilot paid for and a meeting booked with the signer are actions. A deal that has slipped twice needs new evidence before it goes back in the commit.

The sales guides cover qualification and pipeline reviews, and once the deal is real you can practise the pricing conversation in Negotiation Duel.
